About Me

My work-life began in 2014 on the front line of a large holiday park in North Devon. 2 Years later, the opportunity arose for me to step into a New & Used Caravan/Motorhome Retail Centre. As time went on I gained confidence and experience, whilst advancing from an Admin role to a Sales role, handling Finance and also commuting between the company's two branches in North Devon and in South Wales.

 

When COVID-19 hit in March 2020, this put a stop to my commuting, and as one of the few people continuing to work from home throughout the lockdowns, I turned my attention to our online presence, as this suddenly became a lot more important! In doing this I identified an area of weakness within the company that needed improvement, so I started working on it.

I dedicated my focus to the company's social media accounts, websites, photography, branding, and the marketing of their products and services. This included coming up with creative marketing strategies, developing a more intimate and consistent social media presence, and bringing our website up to a higher, more user friendly standard. I worked alongside a Web Developer and a Web Designer in order to achieve this, which taught me a lot about both the appearance and functionality of a website, including the basics of coding, SEO and Analytics. I became Marketing Officer for the company in October 2020, and it was throughout this process that I discovered the impact that strong, consistent branding can have on a company and its customers, and my passion for graphic design was sparked. 

 

As the company expanded it underwent a rebrand, inspired by myself, and I jumped at the opportunity to design and manage the production of new stationary, uniform and signage, consistent with our new brand image. This varied from things like business cards and sign-written vehicles, to an assortment of large illuminated signs.

In 2023 after completing these projects, I decided to take a brave step towards turning my passion into my job, and began working towards becoming a freelance graphic designer... Which leads to where I am today! ​
